Dinner & The Skydogs

"Southern Rock, Blues, and Folk Country"

For guaranteed seating call and make your dinner reservations (650)365-3226

The Skydogs have been around  awhile now; steeped in the roots of Psychedelic Rock (read: lots of dead) Southern Rock, Blues, and Folk Country, they were formed in the San Luis Obispo area and included a mix of college buddies and local blokes. Over the years v- and countless bar gigs, festivals, private parties and impromptu hoedowns - they forged a following of festive and loyal fans who really appreciate a live music experience.

The group mainly revolves around the deft guitar work of Fred Rodriguez who has a knack for providing a lot of fluidity to the music. The interia behind him is pushed by the relentless and happy-go-lucky rhythm section of Drew Iverson on drums, Andy Birchett on bass, Mitch Fadem on keys and Greg “Spanky” Baldwin on rhythm guitar. Spanky and Fred share most of the vocal duties. Many of these cats have played in the Bay Area for many years in bands such as John Broadway Tuckers blues band, UFM, Three Legged Dog, The Townsmen, Midnight Rider, The Slick Willies, and The Groove Masters. As a result, they bring a diversity of experience to the mix.

The Skydogs are really a party band and their pull is more about the general concept of having a good time, sit, stand, dance, bounce, jump – whatever, you’ll have a good time

 Erica Sunshine Lee

My new album “Struggle Street” is completed and just got released! Available for purchase on the MUSIC page of my website, at a live show,  or in person, or at the following locations:

I am a Singer/Songwriter, some may know me as  “Sunshine,”  “Georgia,” “GP,” “Peaches”, or my real name Erica, but anyone who knows me, knows I wholeheartedly love music.  I am focused on my career to share my music around the world, and allow others to see a glimpse into my life, or those who have inspired me, and through my songs, I hope that people are not only able to relate, but also able to see that we all go through similar situations, it’s just how we deal with them that separates us.  My goal is to travel around the world, singing, playing music, and bringing joy to everyone I meet.  I have been tremendously blessed with my family and my amazing friends, and want to give as much as I can to show my gratefulness.  As a musician, I have aspired to challenge myself with a variety of genres including classic rock, country, r&b, blues, alternative, gospel and folk.  Some of my influences include Fleetwood Mac, Tori Amos, Lucinda Williams, Sheryl Crow, Susan Tedeshi, Bonnie Raitt, Sade, Dido, Rob Thomas, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Natalie Merchant, Lily Wilson, Sarah McLachlan, Toni Braxton, Trisha Yearwood, The Dixie Chicks, Maroon 5, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, India Arie, and many more.  Singing has always been an outlet for me, and I began at the age of 5 singing in the southern Baptist church I grew up in.  My gospel and country roots have helped diversify my capabilities, and enhanced my appreciation for all music styles.  Originally from a small town in Northeast Georgia, I moved across the country to the Bay Area at the age of 18 to change scenery, and I have never looked back.  After several years of performing at different restaurants, bars, private parties, and clubs, I have had the opportunity to play with so many incredibly talented musicians including Lee Patterson, Scot Larsen, Donnie Bilinski, Matt Diggs, J Russo, Jesse Hiller, Wayne Carter, Rich Fisanich, Byron Adams, and last but not least, Henry Kapono.  The opportunities are endless and as a songwriter, I look forward to making an impact in this place in my short time here.

The Madison Blues Band, which features Kerry Daly on lead vocals, is a 6-piece Chicago and Texas style band with harmonica, Dobro, slide guitar and keyboards, along with the bass and drums.

We play a variety of blues by some of the original blues artists - from Muddy Waters to Bonnie Raitt. Our music mixes upbeat danceable songs with sweet ballads.

Madison Blues Band has opened for some of the current blues legends at the Little Fox Theatre in Redwood City, such as Jimmy Thackery, Louisiana Red, and Steve Freund. We have also opened for, and shared the stage with, Kenny Neal, Magic Slim and the Teardrops, Louisiana Red, and Lazy Lester.

The band has participated in many charitable events and we are proud to say that we have helped generate revenues for the American Cancer Society, the developmentally challenged of San Mateo, and the Police Activity League (PAL) of Redwood City.

The Madison Blues Band plays the blues for the sheer love of the music, which is evident every time we perform!

“Hassa Flamenco,”  SOLD OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A traditional dance style from Southern Spain, is primarily a performance-based dance that requires great dedication, according to Hassa Flamenco member Cyndie Zikmund who has been dancing flamenco for the past eight years.

The whole dance relies on having good rhythm," Zikmund said. "It's not just about the dance. The rhythm is everything. The thing about flamenco is that the rhythms are so diverse." Perhaps this is one reason why Zikmund said she is seeing fusion of flamenco and other types of music, such jazz and heavy metal. Flametal, a Bay Area band, serves as an example of this fusion, combining flamenco and heavy metal in its music. The band's website describes its music as "containing the first and only true fusion of flamenco and metal, including ferocious musicianship, swirling flamenco rhythms and fleet-fingered dual guitar-shredding."

Hassa Flamenco dancers perform for two sixth period Spanish classes Thursday.
